Dice Landing Chess

1. Board & Setup: Standard 8×8 board. Some pieces start in active play, others in reserves.

2. Movement: Active pieces follow standard FIDE chess rules (move, capture, castle, check, promote).

3. Turn Actions: Each turn: Move an active piece OR roll die to deploy a reserve piece.

4. Die Rolls: 6-sided die with chess symbols. Roll shows which piece to deploy (or 🎉 for any piece).

5. Check & Deployment: Under check, must roll to block. Game lost if no piece can block.

6. Deploy Squares: Reserve pieces deploy only to FIDE standard starting squares (e.g., knights to b1/g1).

7. Bishop Color: First bishop: any color. Second bishop: opposite color of first (if first still in play).

8. Failed Deploy: Deploy fails if reserve is empty or all starting squares occupied. Must move active piece instead.

9. Landing Exemption: Newly deployed piece cannot be captured on opponent's next turn (blue border).

10. Stalemate: If king not in check and no valid moves, must roll die if reserves not empty.

11. Variants: Captured pieces can be removed permanently or returned to reserves.
